We’ve been putting on an annual musical for over 50 years! Join our talented cast, band, or sound and stage crew to be a part of a long-standing tradition. Is on the spot acting more your thing? Our Improv club has earned national recognition in the Canadian Improv Games!

Our fine arts program offers a rich experience for creative minds. Whether you’re into painting, sculpture, or drawing, you’ll have the chance to explore different techniques and mediums. Each year we host Fine Arts Night open to the public where our students art can be enjoyed by all.

A Cherished Tradition

The choral tradition at Luther College can be traced to 1914. Participation in choir continues to be a focal point for generations of Luther students. In addition to in-school performances, the choirs share their ministry of music to many congregations and communities across Canada and the
United States.

AVE (Advanced Vocal Ensemble)
AVE is an auditioned ensemble chosen from members of Luther College Senior Choir. They meet one hour per week and experience the challenge of small ensemble singing. AVE has gained a reputation for outstanding performances of quality choral repertoire.
Treble Choir
The Luther Treble Choir enjoys a proud tradition of fine singing. The choir is comprised of upper voiced singers from Grade 9 and Grade 10 who love to sing. Over the past years the Treble Choir has participated the Rotary Carol Festival (aka. The Knights of Columbus Carol Festival), Luther’s annual Candlelight Services, Regina Competitive Music Festival, Moose Jaw Band and Choral Festival and various churches throughout the province of Saskatchewan.
Handbell Choir
Handbells are an exciting part of the instrumental music program at Luther College High School. Throughout the school year, students have a number of opportunities to participate in handbell choirs in Music 9, Music 10, Treble Choir 10, IB Music 20/30 and Senior Choir. The handbell choirs are feature ensembles at the annual Candlelight Services and Home Concert.
Jazz Band
Jazz Band is a small ensemble that performs at school events such as Fine Arts Night. The band plays a variety of jazz music, and aims to explore some of the great jazz composers. The group also works on jazz improvisation and theory. Jazz Band members can play trumpet, trombone, saxophone, piano, guitar, bass, or drums. No prior jazz experience is required.
Senior Choir
Throughout it’s history Luther College High School has enjoyed a tradition of choral excellence. The Luther College Senior Choir is composed of students from grades 10 through 12. They have won many choral competitions and been awarded high honours for their fine performance of quality choral repertoire. The choir performs annually at the Rotary Carol Festival (aka. The Knights of Columbus Carol Festival), Luther College Candlelight Services, Luther’s Home Concert, various churches throughout western Canada, as well as school and community events throughout the year.
String Ensemble
The String Ensemble is a group of young musicians from grade 9 through 12 who spend an hour each week playing contemporary music for classical strings. This group performs at the annual Luther College Candlelight Services, Home Concert, and various official school events.
