Luther Invitational Basketball Tournament (L.I.T.)
Since 1953, the Luther Invitational Tournament (LIT) has been more than just a basketball event—it’s a celebration of sportsmanship, respect, and high-level competition. Founded by John Chomay, our senior boys basketball coach and athletic director, LIT is the longest-running high school tournament in Canada. Every February, our student-run tournament brings together top teams from across western Canada for three days of thrilling basketball
LIT is one of Luther’s most cherished traditions and a cornerstone of our athletic program. It’s not just about the games; it’s about the community, the hospitality, and the legacy. In 2016, LIT was proudly inducted into the Regina Sports Hall of Fame, a testament to its enduring impact.
