Dr. Lynn Gidluck returned to Benchmark Public Relations, the strategic communications and marketing firm that she owns with her partner in June of 2023 after nearly six years leading the University of Regina’s Community Engagement and Research Centre. Through her consulting business and her work at the university, Lynn gained a keen understanding of the challenges and needs of the not-for-profit sector. She hopes that she can share her passion for community-campus engagement and community development with students enrolled in Nonprofit Sector Leadership and Innovation (NSLI) classes. Lynn is a huge proponent of experiential learning so students will gain “real world” experience by acting as consultants for non-profit clients and interacting with numerous guest speakers that join the classes she teaches. She commends Luther College for its vision in creating and sustaining the Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Studies Network (NVSSN) and the NSLI Certificate. Through her deep connections with community she knows how much Luther’s reputation continues to be enhanced through the work done by the NVSSN Director and Luther’s faculty and staff champions and supporters.
